GALLOWSTREET ︎
Forever seeking to break new ground within the world of brass bands, we present our new album FUTUREBRASS, a hotstep and jump further towards the dance-floor, with a 10-track album inspired by the French Touch movement. FUTUREBRASS is woven with brass-blown melodies crafted around electronic motifs, ‘70s disco kick drums and ‘80s keyboard synths, much inspired by heroes like Daft Punk, Air, Phoenix and Cassius. By using the concept of ‘future worlds’ we seek to sonically and aesthetically chronicle a narrative journey from dystopian cyberpunk, reflecting the world as it stands in 2026, toward solarpunk, a green and hopeful utopian vision wherein the systemic issues of our time are addressed.
Artwork by Floor van het Nederend. The vinyl comes with a beautiful goldfoil print on the cover!
